Lolita Lyrics

If you're sour
'Cause some people tried to take away all your power
If you're blue
'Cause they hit you when you refused

Well, that's the deal: you never heal
So best to hold your ground
You get your bone
And you get flown in the dog pound

They can't touch me now, Lolita
They can't touch me now, Lolita
They can't touch me now

If you get kicked out
'Cause they don't want you to mess around
Well, that's the deal
Turn your prayer wheel
Watch it go around
You get straight flush
You feel the rush
And then you come down

They can't touch me now, Lolita
They can't touch me now, Lolita
They can't touch me now

Have no shame
If there's nothing left
And there's nothing left in your veins
They can't touch me now

Cover art for Lolita lyrics by Frank Black

The song is Humbert Humbert speaking to his Lolita and telling her to "stand her ground", "get her bone", "spin her prayer wheel". Humbert, the pervert that he his, followed his passion without regret: he got his "bone" then was "flown in the dog pound." He "[has] no shame." They can't "touch [him] now" because he is dead. I would guess that the song is about following your passions no matter the price.

My Interpretation

@patrick189 that's just fantastic but it doesn't explain who is who is the cast of characters. please refrain from giving interpretations unless you can be specifc it's confusing and takes away.
