Monster Love Lyrics

I never thought I would return
To be consumed by you again
Think you're cured
You'd see it come
The folly of a monster love like you

Grey is good
The light is good
We went down to Hollywood
You only get one chance in tinsel town

I save the part
The sweetest part
Shook for you

Everything comes around
Bringing us back again
Here is where we start
And where we end

Never thought I would return
To be consumed by you again
But I know a papermoon
The folly of a monster love like you

Pavement smell just after rain
The sun leaps out
It's clear again
I told you how
I felt the earth could move
The folly of a monster love like you

Everything comes around
Bringing us back again
Here is where we start
And where we end

Repeat to fade

She left this guy, he's bad for her and she knows it (hence calling him a 'monster') but he's convinced her to take him back: 'I never thought I would return/to be consumed by you again'. She does cos he has power over her.

I think this song basically explains returning to like someone again. someone you liked very much, maybe like an obsession or something which is why it's refered to as monster love. and you know it's stupid, but you didn't know, you thought you were over the person. my interpretation is probably kind of stupid, but yea. :)
