love this song. it's basically about not being able to sleep at night because there are too many things on your mind. You're fine during the day when you are busy and evern at suppertime. but when you law down and are all alone, you cant help but get depressed "Memories always start, round midnight....I haven't got the heart to stand those memories" However, the song is mainly about a man (probably Blake) and him being gone, she cant stand all their memories that come back when she misses him. "Let the angels sing for your return" He is back home with her
As previously posted, the song is about how you can make it through the day pretty fine, but then when the time comes to sleep, you just cant manage to fall asleep because there's too much in your head.
This originally was a jazz song in 1944 by thelonious Monk. She sings it very well though.
The first two stanzas are right the last three are different the third stanza isn’t even in her version.
One Direction even curse though it’s censored to a ‘shh.’ This happy number make me dance around and is hence one of my favorite tracks of the album. The chorus is even somewhat reminiscent of Def Leppard’s Pour Some Sugar on Me. http://goo.gl/FQbbN8
