The Love We Had Before Lyrics
I burnt the bridge that you were building
But I left here feeling guilty
That we couldn’t see eye to eye
Why can’t we compromise?
Why are we choosing sides?
When will we realize?
We don’t have to fight anymore
Where is the love we had before?
Wouldn’t the world be better off if we decide?
We don’t need our pride anymore
Where is the love we had before?
Where is the love…
Where is the love…
Where is the love…
The love we had before
You used to be the one I’d run to
But now I tend to run you
Right into the ground
Sorry I was such a fool
Never saw your point of view
Can we start over somehow?
You know we only hurt ourselves
When we don’t communicate
Why can’t we stop and make a change?
Where is the love? Where is the love?
But I left here feeling guilty
That we couldn’t see eye to eye
Why can’t we compromise?
Why are we choosing sides?
When will we realize?
Where is the love we had before?
Wouldn’t the world be better off if we decide?
We don’t need our pride anymore
Where is the love we had before?
Where is the love…
Where is the love…
Where is the love…
The love we had before
But now I tend to run you
Right into the ground
Sorry I was such a fool
Never saw your point of view
Can we start over somehow?
When we don’t communicate
Why can’t we stop and make a change?
Where is the love? Where is the love?

i think this song is about an argument that spun way out of control. the fight got out of hand, and one of the ppl in the argument tried to make it right, but the other wouldn't accept the apology. as a result, the once great friendship is failing becuz they are putting each other down and continuing to just fight each other, until they stop talking altogether, forgetting about the love they really do have for each other. (this could apply in a normal friendship or even a dating relationship as well). this happens to the best of us. if pride takes over, we sometimes cant admit we are wrong, and we hurt ourselves and the other person in the process. this song is clearly a cry to start over and end the fighting for good so things can go back to the way they used to.
