Astronaut Lyrics
Come over to my house
I'll pour some tea for us
One sugar or two
Your hand is right in front of me,
Your finger fragilely, holy on, my side
Faster than an astronaut
Who's coming home to what
He left long ago
I've made this brand new bed for
You, I trust the things we do, Holy or not
Open the gate cause you're already late,
at the end of the lane, is a glass of
Lemona-ade, keep on the path when
You hear the laugh, in the white of her
Palm is your heart!
(I'll be brave for a while, I won't bring you down anymore then you are)
Please, be my baby, don't mean
Maybe or not, look out the
Window, there's a bright, yellow cab
I'll pour some tea for us
One sugar or two
Your hand is right in front of me,
Your finger fragilely, holy on, my side
Who's coming home to what
He left long ago
I've made this brand new bed for
You, I trust the things we do, Holy or not
Lemona-ade, keep on the path when
You hear the laugh, in the white of her
Palm is your heart!
Maybe or not, look out the
Window, there's a bright, yellow cab

this followed by "real love" is insanely beautiful
I believe she's saying cab, not cat.
easily the best song ! ! !
Here, Victoria's ambiguous lyrics could mean alot. Perhaps she's singing about coming home to a love. Worried that the person could have moved on.
I love toward the end of the song, at exactly 4:00 into the song, when she starts humming. Her angelic yet haunting voice is MEZMORIZING.
It's such a beautiful, chilling song.
Faster than an astronaut / Who's coming home to what / He left long ago
Perfect.
i think this song is about sex
I think this song is about sex too. Specifically about two lovers meeting after a very long time like an astronaut and his lady. The line I've made this brand new bed for you also points out to that (I think it's a reference to Ulyses, who upon returning home made a new bed for his wife and him to spend their first night on). Also the structure of this song resembles that of making love - the moment Victoria sings I'll be brave.. being the orgasm.
I can't help but believe this song is directed to a person coming home from war/deployment. She metaphorically describes an astronaut to a soldier. Both subjects departing to a foreign place, for long periods of time. Comparing soldiers to astronauts gives it a dreamy, wistful longing. Basically saying you are somewhere so far out of reach yet I hold onto your heart for when you come back I'll be here.
"I'll be brave for a while" it's a life threatening career but I love you and I will wait for you. Its such a romantic song, I just melt.
whoever submitted the lyrics - you are either a genius or a retard.
