meaning to me? its all about getting older, brilliant song and meanings but what the hell are the white and black hats?????????? really want to know what this means, is it an american thing or something? apert from that bit it all makes sense to me.

I just checked a very clean live performance, and there is little doubt in my mind that he says "White and black hats" <br /> <br /> It's a secret to everyone, I guess.
