I really love this song. I heard it on my friend's myspace. She is one of my best friends but I really like her, and I have told her before too, but it doesn't work out in my favor when I do that.
So, considering that, I interpret this song as meaning the guy has a really good friendship with a girl and would do anything to be more than just friends, but also realizes if he goes to fast it will be a mistake.
I realize that may be lopsided because it is the same situation I am in, and so I perceive it more like that, but I think it still works.
I think it's about someone who is in a relationship but they're getting serious with it too fast and they are aware of that.

I think it's about a one-side relationship. Meanings, he adores this girl, but the girl just doesn't feel the same. He knows he needs to let her go, but he just can't seem to.

Mmm i don't think so. i take it as a song where he is so overwhelmed by a girl that he just wants her all to him and wants it all at once, instead of taking the time to "stop and smell the roses" Loves her to death never-the-less. The best thing is that i can relate to this song and assisted me to realize the same. =] -plus the music is extremely soothing! i love the acoustic
