First I'd like to say that this song is a total throw-back to the 50's, early 60's. I say that in the best way possible.
This song is about someone who doesn't feel quite right about their relationship. When they try to mention it, it doesn't quite seem legit, almost like it's not worth it because they have no real reason for complaining ("I guess I'm young but I feel so weary," I've tried to express it, but I think it's all a bore"). They feel alone in the relationship ("I'm alone on a bicycle for two").

I love this song, its adorable! I think this song is about feeling inadiquate in a relationship, always second guessing yourself and what you do. Like she is over analizing everything so mucht that its becoming mixed up and foggy in her head, its taking a toll on her. xxsheandhimxx I totally feel the same about this song :)
It's funny how you bend lyrics in your head to fit your own interpretation. Instead of keep on taking further ahead, I always heard "people take it further ahead".
