I think the whole song kind of ties into the ending. He is speaking to this girl about how being with her feels like floating. And being with her is all that matters, Since he doesn't know if there is an afterlife he is kind of saying "carpe diem" lets seize the day.

its talking about the effects of rolling. you pop the pill, and you feel feelings of empathy, music is amazing, and youre floating :)

I think he's saying that being with her gives him the same floating feeling that being on drugs does. Basically, she's his drug now that he's met her.

And it should be: "There's much in the world I don't understand It just makes much more sense when my hand's in your hand"
