Yeah, I agree with Splatty2007 (not that there's anyone else to agree with). I heard it off Skins too! XD
I think this song is about being someone and believing in them so much that you've become oblivious to their lives.
Its like you're so whipped that subconsciously you know that someones no good, but you love them so much that you tell yourself they'll change within time.

like the others i came across this song through skins. to me the song is about being misled by someone you care so much for that you believe their lies because you are optimistic. they are using you maybe, taking advantage of you, telling you that it's bad now but it'll get better one day, when there really is no guarantee.. they're just keeping you around for their own use. and you want it to be good now, so you keep waiting.
I actually have a very similar relationship with a friend. She's a liar. Like a pathological liar, she lies about EVERYTHING. And I don't believe her (not all the time) but I always want to. I hope that what she says is the truth, and I don't say anything about it, because I love her, and I keep thinking "She'll grow out of it, she'll stop one day..." but she never does. I can't help it though, I wouldn't ever stop being her friend. She's like a sister.
