You Really Got a Hold on Me (Smokey Robinson cover)

It's pretty self explanatory, which makes it all the better. I'm also pretty sure that anyone that's been in pathetic love with someone can relate.

I didn't know this was a cover,until i read so on itunes,and according their album review this was a horrible cover.I dont know where they are getting this from,maybe its because i have never heard the real one but i honestly love this one,its one of my favorite from the album.I love the way Zooey sings this,you can feel her pain.Overall,thumb up (:

Brilliant cover of what was already an amazing song

The fuck? Zooey's voice is gorgeous in the song. Same with every other song she's done.

It's M. Ward's voice that should have been left out of this song. His voice is amazing, but just doesn't fit here, in my opinion.

I love most of what She & Him do, but I'm not real crazy about this cover. It's way too slow and forcibly melodramatic. All of the swing of the Miracles original is gone (and of the Beatles' cover of it, for that matter), and it ends up being more of a funeral dirge, and a bit of a creepy one, too.

Although I like most other She and Him songs, they really should've passed up this cover. It's already a melodramatic song, but Zooey's singing exaggerates the bathos to a laughable level.
