When I saw her live she introduced this song by saying "this one is about something that happened a long time ago, so I should get over it by now" then rocked her arms like she had a baby. When I read a Rolling Stones article on her she said that she morned the loss from an abortion that she had. Even though this is a cover song, Chan's choice to sing had a special meaning for her.
