Give You All My Time To Save Lyrics
Sunshine you caught me sleeping
And I woke to your skies so grey
But I lay cold in the power of your keeping
So please don’t take it all away
Sunshine you fell down on me
As I was fast asleep
And now you woke in the power of your keeping
Just proved a second too late
Me I’m just calling you over
By the power of your own rays
And if I had half a mind
I’d give you all my time to save
Sunshine was I so blind
That I could not see your face
Wont you lend me half a mind
So I can have my time to save
Sunshine, you caught me sleeping
As I woke to a world so gray
But I lay cold in the power of your keeping
So please don’t take another second away
Me I’m just calling you over
By the power of your own grace
If I had half a mind
I’d give you all my time to save
Sunshine, was I so blind
That I could not see your face
And would you give me half of mind
I’ll give you all my time to save
And I woke to your skies so grey
But I lay cold in the power of your keeping
So please don’t take it all away
As I was fast asleep
And now you woke in the power of your keeping
Just proved a second too late
By the power of your own rays
And if I had half a mind
I’d give you all my time to save
That I could not see your face
Wont you lend me half a mind
So I can have my time to save
As I woke to a world so gray
But I lay cold in the power of your keeping
So please don’t take another second away
By the power of your own grace
If I had half a mind
I’d give you all my time to save
That I could not see your face
And would you give me half of mind
I’ll give you all my time to save

well, this seems to me a very literal song sunshine, is actually the sun, he wakes up to gray skies, cold and alone. every minute that passes in the sun is a another moment gone forever, in my opinion he is saying that he is missing the little things in life like sitting out in the sun and enjoying life, rather then living and working a dull life, and eventually never seeing the sun again. Then again, it could be about a girl, but who wants that?
I think there's too much to read in this to call it literal. It might not be about a girl, though. It could be about anything. That only adds beauty to the song, I think.
this to me is about sunshine. A spiritual relationship with the sun is important and means more than most people realize. I think this song has a very direct meaning and should be taken literally.
