Toxic Lyrics

Baby, can’t you see
I’m calling
A guy like you
Should wear a warning
It’s dangerous
I’m falling

There’s no escape
I can’t wait
I need a hit
Baby, give me it
You’re dangerous
I’m lovin’ it

Too high
Can’t come down
Losing my head
Spinning ‘round and ‘round
Do you feel me now

With a taste of your lips
I’m on a ride
You’re toxic
I’m slipping under
Taste of poison paradise
I’m addicted to you
Don’t you know that you’re toxic
And I love what you do
Don’t you know that you’re toxic

It’s getting late
To give you up
I took a sip
From my devils cup
Slowly
It’s taking over me

Too high
Can’t come down
It’s in the air
And it’s all around
Can you feel me now

With a taste of your lips
I’m on a ride
You’re toxic
I’m slipping under
Taste of your poison paradise
I’m addicted to you
Don’t you know that you’re toxic

Intoxicate me now
With your lovin' now
I think I'm ready now
I think I'm ready now
Intoxicate me now
With your lovin' now
I think I'm ready now
I think I'm ready now
Intoxicate me now
with your lovin' now
I think I'm ready now
I think I'm ready now
Intoxicate me now

now
now
with the taste of your lips
I'm on a ride

Fuck the original. The original made my ears bleed. Yael Naim's version is incredible. She slows it down, puts a rest in in the middle of one or two words, and get rid of the nails on chalkboard sound, and she turns one of the worst songs I've ever heard into one of the best.

This version almost has such a darker feel to it...as if it's dealing with an addiction to an actual substance, as opposed to being completely obsessed with one person.

I agree that this version has a darker feel to it, but not in a substance abuse way. I think it applies more so to being obsessed with someone who's not good for you; they're toxic like a drug.
