That Home Lyrics
Where the doors are moaning all day long
Where the stairs are leaning dusk to dawn
Where the windows are breathing in the light
Where the rooms are a collection of our lives
This is a place where I don't feel alone
This is a place that I call my home
Where the stairs are leaning dusk to dawn
Where the windows are breathing in the light
Where the rooms are a collection of our lives
This is a place that I call my home

This is the short version of the song near the album in, truly beautiful. Self explanatory.
i know to build a home is the greatest song ever written but i have to say this is just as beautiful
This is a follow on to Build a home . Well thats how i always interpreted it to be, anyway. Seeing as it is sung by the same guy. I think seperating the two tells a little story. how he built the home (to build a home) and then "that home" having lived in it. The doors moan and the stairs are leaning.... they are old. been there a while. The rooms are a collection of their (our) lives Meaning they lived together it was worth building the home. The tempo is more upbeat happy hopeful and they together feel at home. I almost breathe a sigh of relief and feel that is what he is doing within the last two lines.
