I figure this song is pretty simple. It's about a guy that's incredibly self-centered and achieves self-worth from his capacity to hurt, namely women, those around him. He also feels that he's got far too much potential to stick around in one place.
but what if he has treated them real well and thats why the girl is crying. he did his job, was good and sweet to her and when he was through with the relationship, she cried cause she loved him...
If he was "good and sweet" to her then why would he say something so callous as "i don't care for you at all?" And if he really didn't care for her, yet still pretended to, then that would make him even more malicious than otherwise.
