I think the song is about a kid who is breaking up with his girlfriend and also at the same time his best friend. But this wasent the first time they broke up.
But then he is reflecting on how back when they were going out she always made his bad days turn to good ones. And he is saying that she is sucha good girlfriend and she never did anything but it just wasen't working out between them.
Maybe these are the meaning to the lyrics not sure. Let me know.
i just went through a situation where i'd been in a relationship with one of my best friends and we'd broken up and wanted to get back together.. but i couldn't do it all over again and i almost lost him. this song, to me, explains that whole situation. i honestly wish i'd heard this song before today.
