I love this song. It just sums up what I want to say to a certain someone.

It's about someone that led you on then let you go, said they never liked you anyway, he faked it ("i didn't know i paid for merely a masquerade") and she's sarcastically saying "sorry if I thought you were madly in love". it's about someone who manipulates people, tricks them, lies and uses them to make themselves feel better. So she's realised she's too good for him anyway, and she's telling him.

Best line: "But there is no excuse, I don't like being used...and someday it's gonna get back to you." Oh yes it is. Oh, and "I was a fool for you but you were foolish too. And fools never get the last laugh."

She needs to do a studio verson of this song it's too good!

So, yeah. Though the song is self explanatory. Writing this all out, helped me realize things myself.

Too good for you He calims his innoncence, but he only seems that way because he appears to be mysterious by his lack of communication, and a person like that is always hard to figure out. So, it's like you're always playing a game, even when it seems like you 'have' the person because you're together, you still haven't pinned them down. Which, normally always keeps one coming back for more.

"One love has two equal parts", but uforunately the person is just a victim to 'the game'/ the chase of figuring the other out, or believing the other shares the same type of heart. That's the only way to really make it work.

There is no excuse for how he went on about it, but what goes around comes around and it's going to bite him in the ass.

It was forseen that when the shit hit the fan and he would run from the affectionate feeling. But she's not going to chase him, because the prize of winning his heart, is basically almost not even really worth the drama.

One would want to get to know the REAL person, and not merely what the pretend to be in order to 'get' the person, instead of being real from the start, so that they may evolve into something more and true.

She's sorry that she mistook his feelings as being the same as hers. He only pretended that he liked/loved her to get a prize, and if all didn't work out he would be the one to break it off. So, in the end it's like he's still the winner. She's sorry he's addicted to being this way, so crueal and misleading. Bt he can go on and play his games, because she knows that she's better off and can do so much better.

The guy has a chip on his shoulder; the world doesn't revolve around him as much as he'd like to think it does. So she tells him, that they of course miss him and when it's fit to his schedule to come back down to earth; it's in his best interest to open his eyes and see things as they really are, because things aren't what they seem, or even people, in this case I suppose.

She admits she was foolish, but knows that she wasn't alone in being a fool for him. Thus, he isn't the true winner in this game, since she has realized her mistake.

In plain he's not as complicated as he once appeared. Once again, she has realized that she was wasting her time. And to those even before her, they're realizing their worth and that they're just too good for ihim, so it isn't much of a loss.
