Take It Out On Me Lyrics

Oh yeah
I'm always thinking of you and all the things that you do
Self-centered satisfaction, no more will I run from you
Dysfunctioned family values, I'll die but I will not fear
Stop talking words of wisdom, you fool, I'm standing right here

The world is on your shoulders
The weight, it's crushing me
Now we're all getting older
Take it out, take it out, take it out, take it out
Take it out on me, take it out on me
Take it out on me, take it out on me
Vent your frustration on me

I feel so much destruction in everything that you do
Anger is creeping in me, watch I don't explode on you
My rage it comes so quickly one spark and I will ignite
Self-harming mutilation cuts deep but the pain feels so right

The world is on your shoulders
The weight it's crushing me
Now we're all getting older
Take it out, take it out, take it out, take it out
Take it out on me, take it out on me
Take it out on me, take it out on me
Vent your frustration on me

This fire burns inside
This fire burns inside
There's no where left to hide
This fire burns inside
This fire burns inside
This rage can't be denied

The world is on your shoulders
The weight, it's crushing me
Now we're all getting older
Take it out, take it out, take it out, take it out
Take it out on me, take it out on me
Take it out on me, take it out on me
Vent your frustration on me

Take it out

I think it's about someone who has a girlfriend that cuts herself and is becoming more and more stresses out because she takes it out on him and blames him, and all he does is try to help her.

Personally, I find that the lyrics describe a relationship between family members, along the lines of a father-son, daughter-mother, or even father-daughter / mother-son. Many people have anger management problems, and many parents take it out on their kids.

"The world is on your shoulders The weight, it's crushing me Now we're all getting older"

Grown-ups complain about their age a lot, and I know a few of my friend's parents treat their kids like a serious burden.

"I feel so much destruction in everything that you do Anger is creeping in me, watch I don't explode on you My rage it comes so quickly one spark and I will ignite Self-harming mutilation cuts deep but the pain feels so right"

I can personally relate to this, as well. Some messed up family times, let me tell you. Anyways, awesome song, awesome album.

thats how me and my dad are hes really quick to anger, and im only really ever mad or frustrated when he gets out of hand over ridiculous shit, ive had to restrain myself countless times, and im grateful i have that ability becuase regardless of the outcome it would not end well

i beg to differ with you. Quite sorry but this is an okay song. I would have to say the top 3 songs on this album are "Deliver Us from Evil", "Scream Aim Fire", and "Waking the Demon". Waking the demon tho is by far the best metal production on this album.

Fuck xD I don't have any favs of the album 'cause it's just too great This song is about standing and not being afraid to die. Somebody made you angry and you are unable to deny.In short, it's about standing against the one you hate.

i think that the someone is having issues and they take it out on him. hence "take it out on me" there is alot of stress on that person and he wants them to release their stress on him. thats jus what i see

I more agree with the Parent idea for this song, i think it's more of a father-son then anything else though, in most parental abuse relationships it's the father, i think the song is about the son finally getting tired of his father's abuse of him. The son want's the father to go after him again so that he can show how he's grown and that now he's strong enough to stop his father, he wants to show his father that he will no longer let him act like he has.

This song does seem more like a parent-child abuse type thing. the parent wouldnt take it out unless they were older. the lines "This fre burns inside, theres no where left to hide, this rage can't be denied..." seems like the child finally has enough and decides to fight back.
