this makes me think of how i sometimes have cyclical negative thoughts, and the fact that i repeat them to myself is what makes my mind captive- captive to nothing, but itself and the habits of thought i perpetuate. in other words, you get caught in the web of your thoughts only when you return to them, and dwell on them continually.
Bad ass.
I think this song, like so many others, is about lost love, regrets and choices that we can't understand.
