The Way It Ends Lyrics
Just a thought to add suspense
To all the games of discontent
Fear is real, but not self-taught
You let others be the cause
There we go racing towards the sun
Ignoring all the noise, striving for the grace of man
People play this great charade
And always miss the point, never fall for prophecies
You say it draws near, that it will be clear
You act so convinced, a fortress you've built
Remember the doubt by which I now stand
You write the book on the way it all ends
Tear down those mighty walls
Reinvent the way you talk
Look ahead, not down below
Or high above where angels flow
There we go racing towards the sun
Ignoring all the noise, striving for the grace of man
People play this great charade
And always miss the point, never fall for prophecies
Waiting to see our kind disagree
You draw the line and stick to your pride
Remember the doubt by which I now stand
You write the book on the way
It ends
You say it was near, that it will be clear
You act so convinced, a fortress you've built
Remember the doubt by which I now stand
You wrote the book on the way it all ends
It ends
To all the games of discontent
Fear is real, but not self-taught
You let others be the cause
Ignoring all the noise, striving for the grace of man
People play this great charade
And always miss the point, never fall for prophecies
You act so convinced, a fortress you've built
Remember the doubt by which I now stand
You write the book on the way it all ends
Reinvent the way you talk
Look ahead, not down below
Or high above where angels flow
Ignoring all the noise, striving for the grace of man
People play this great charade
And always miss the point, never fall for prophecies
You draw the line and stick to your pride
Remember the doubt by which I now stand
You write the book on the way
It ends
You act so convinced, a fortress you've built
Remember the doubt by which I now stand
You wrote the book on the way it all ends
It ends

Wow I love this song.
I think it's about how people tend to obsess over predictions of the end of the world, and forget to enjoy and value the here and now, instead of endlessly worrying about the way it all ends, completely missing the point of life.
I think it's about not following other peoples footsteps and what's expected of people. I see flaws in my interpretation, but it's what it seems to me.
This song is awsome, though. Love how he sings for the chorus, but is there any other music by them? I doubt that it's a coincidence that this song was their only song on guitar hero and is the only song people have seem to heard from them. So who are they and do they even have other songs?
the second verse sounds more like:
Tear down those mighty walls, reinvent the way you talk Look ahead, now down below Or high above, where angels float
Yeah, I think that's what it says too.
Yeah, I think that's what it says too.
From the first time I really listened to the lyrics, I've thought that this song is about atheism.

I think it's about the way a person dies, because it goes really fast, but then slows down. Or about how "God" chooses peoples faits. "You wrote the book on the way it all ends"
