I think she's fighting against her partner in a relationship and loses herself in legends of kind, wise heroes to escape the stress of it. She believes that the legends are what allows her to deal with the relationship, when in reality, the perfect hero that she's been searching for was inside her all along.
So I suppose you could say that it's about finding the inner strength to deal with your problems.

I think the lyrics for this one were one of the most poetic works Tarja did on My Winter Storm.
I would like to understand better this sentence "Why is it called Elysian Fields when love builds only grief". What would be the metaphor behind that?
And the metaphor behind all the legends and heroes theme on this song would be related to the "elysian fields" metaphor?
I don't know much about Greek mythology, so I'm curious...
