Basically he's made some mistakes, the girl is tired of it. He knows that she can do better, but he's begging her to stay, because he needs her.

She left him, he got really hurt. It just feels unreal, and he's saying that this can't be his life.

Going places they used to go reminds him of her and how happy he was, but it's also painful, because it reminds him of how she's not there anymore. At the end he's saying that he just wants to love her, but he understands it's his fault that she won't accept it.

He was already hurting, and she temporarily fixed it, but he'll always remember. Nothing he or she says matters unless they can find some feeling behind it. He's just asking her to remember being happy with him and he's asking for forgiveness.

I think this is one of the best songs on the album, a great way to start off the cd. The cd kind of tells a whole story from her ending the relationship through him holding on, til he finally says "goodbye" to the hope of it coming around.

But this song seems to be about when the girl ends it, he sees things as his fault and saying "all I want to do is love you, but I'm the only one to blame" He is asking her to remember the good times they had, the promises that were made between each other are just words until the feeling is there behind them.

Such a great song

this is like the story of my life right now. like you said romefalls. but in my case its him ending the relationship. and im trying to hold on. im trying to say good bye but its not possible. and pretty much all you said is about me. but in reverse.

I am so glad I found this song...this describes me to a T...my engagement was recently broken off by my fiancee...she left, and I am left..just like this. I'm getting better...but it's nice to know there are songs out there for everything...every situation in life can be aided and helped with the thought of music, or with a certain song. And yes, punkkid, you are right it's "both perfect and in pain" I read this straight from the album book.

This song is truly amazing, and a song i can relate to oh to well.

he's having a hard time moving on, and he wishes for a second chance but he knows it's not going to happen. it's been hurt in the past before, and he thought this time was going to be different but he's hurt and left alone once again.
