yeah how come there are no right lyrics for that song anywhere? Its definetely "hunting season" and "no good state last" and "thought stopped talking to me".
and I think its "while the summer rots in (?? hearts high? heads high? don't know)
I think this song is about getting a depression and thinking about a way to get out of it. the devil (your own bad thoughts) that is talking in your own head. and with "from now on take me along" is when you start to think good again and that you don't want these thoughts back. just my interpretation.
i think a few of these lines are off...
"No good state lads" should be "No good state lasts"
"Now I turn to the seasons, the sleeping demons" should be "Now it's hunting season for sleeping demons"
"I almost washed us out talking to me" should be "I almost thought you stopped talking to me"
Yeah the lyrics are off but whatevs the song is amazing, so glad i found it this song could save a lot of lives
i haven't had time to try and analyze this song but the first 4 lines make it sound like hes gay lol
the lyrics is 'sung while the summer rots and the hots hot' . i thought the first few lines were about how he was jealous of another man. it's a really great song... very happy, different from their usual music, but i still like it
Yeah, I agree with Sonia. The song makes me think of meeting someone that is really your type, but not knowing if it's reciprocal and anticipating negatively the outcome of it. For the first half,the lyrics are quite negative : jealousy, not wanting to feel all this, anticipating the hurt, etc. But then, she came and tell him she feels it too after he had almost "washed it away" : Oh your face and everything that you say repeated. Song is awesome.
I think this song is about how he is suspect of his partner being with another man.
