I can totally connect to this song because this happened to me just recently. It's about a guy who tries to make the girl perfect and only focuses on what he wants to see rather than who she really is. He doesn't accept who she truly is and just wants her to be the way he wants her to be. She realizes that she's happy with who she is at the end of the song but by that time, it's too late and he has morphed her into something she's not. The best lines that automatically draw me into the song are You never take Take the time to really look Look at the one The one I really am

actually the song is also sung by Kate Dearaugo who was on australian idol. Both the veronicas and kate sang the song perfectly but Cascada killed with the dancing music and the veronicas who were on this show in australia two months ago heard Cascada version on the american radio cause they were in america at the time and Jess said that their publisher was working on the case.

Originally, this song was written by the Veronicas, but passed the song onto Kate DeAraugo, which Cascada covered later.
I can see a similarity to Everything I'm Not in this song, the difference being that she actually did change into what the guy wanted and her individuality and real self has 'faded'.
