2007: The Year Punk Broke (My Heart) Lyrics
Me, in your back garden
With my Walkman tucked inside my forearm,
And I'm waiting, waiting for C90
In the summer of 2007,
The summer that punk rock broke my heart.
With my Walkman tucked inside my forearm,
And I'm waiting, waiting for C90
In the summer of 2007,
The summer that punk rock broke my heart.

i believe the song title is a reference to the documentary 1991: The Year Punk Rock Broke.
this song is stellar.
i want to say that the 'waiting for c90' line is a reference to c86. but im really not sure. i really like this song though, the instrumentation is gorgeous.
C90 is the running length printed on a 90 minute cassette tape. I presume it's referring to having to wait while a walkman rewound the tape, perhaps?
C90 is probably a reference to C86, since he is waiting for C90 in 2007, like for another mixtape of C86 but it's kinda too late for that, because we are not in 1990 and there will never be C90... huh, I might be EXTREMELY wrong though. i'm new to this twee-indie-pop scene, Sarah Records and stuff... ..and Spordan might really be right.
