Tannhäuser Gate Lyrics

You are the mould, I realise all our ties.
We are the ghosts and we will fly over earth.

Amazing grace,
You slip all your fingers in my chest as you make yourself a raise.
My saviour I choose.

Would you believe, when planets collide in our skies.
Your universe will come to an end over this.

Amazing grace,
You slip all your fingers in my chest as you make yourself a raise.
My saviour I choose.

Burn

Turn it all round and come back to back with me.
And now i've said it, it's time to make you open your eyes.
My saviour, go.
Saviour.
Save yourself, save yourself, save yourself.

Right this may seem incredibly wild but i have quite a nice theory that fits in with this song....Ok here goes...I know that Fightstar are fans of Sci-Fi, hence some of the Blade Runner references in some of their songs. Now, on the theme of Sci-Fi is Doctor Who. For those who don't know it's a British Sci-Fi programme. OK, now they made a movie a few years back. In that, the main female character is called Grace. During the film, she saves the Doctors life with some heart surgery and he refers to her as Amazing Grace. Also, the Doctors arch enemy, The Master tries to end the world with one of his evil plots, that has nothing to do with planet Earth. Upon hearing this song, I came to the conclusion that this may have something to do with the Doctor Who movie but I may be wrong. Still, what do you know?!

1 more thing... i did some digging around and it seems the term tannhauser gate is quite popular in sci-fi culture. especially in blade runner when one of the characters talks about "seeing c-beams glitter in the dark near tannhauser gate". so now i'm starting to assume this song could be about interstellar travel through space or something.

The song is just called Tannhauser, not Tannhauser Gate.

um, no. The name of the song is right on the CD and its "Tannhauser Gate".
