Cold Days From the Birdhouse Lyrics

Another hotel
With ruined plans
Romantic gesture
With ruined plans

And so you make it your own
But this is where your arm can't go
You make it your own

Another phone call
With ruined plans
Romantic gesture
With ruined plans

And so you make it your own
But this is where your arm can't go
You make it your own
But this is where your arm can't go

And your red sky at night won't follow me
It won't follow me now

I won't wear your shoes
And I won't clip your wings

I see it when you lied
We all look so surprised
And will you come back?
You come back

And breathing in smoke signs
Like a puppet told to drive
And will you come back?
You come back

And your red sky at night won't follow me
It won't follow me now (x3)
And your red sky at night won't follow me
You won't follow me now

So where are your manners? (repeat until end)

And breath and then -spoke sighs- Sounds to me like: And breathin in smoke signs

I'm going where you should I'll -unplug- your mind Sounds to me like: I won't wear your shoe And I wont clap your land

... which admittedly makes no sense, but that's really what it sounds like. But I'm not Scottish, so the accent might be affecting what I hear.

In any event, this song is awesome.

it should beeee -

"i won't wear your shoes. i won't clip your wings."

instead of 'im going where you should, ill unplug your mind'.

Yep. Comments have corrected most of the mistakes, but the posted lyrics are pretty wrong.

Is it "It won't follow me now" or "It won't follow me, no"?

I don't know why someone hasn't said this, but if you listen with any sort of good hardware it's obvious he's alternating between "where are your mirrors", "where are your morals", and "where are your manners".
