48 cash was released in 1973.This songs origin has it's reference to a 1972 'Crash' in the UK that had garnered national attention the previous year in Eltham Well Hall. The 'rail crash' was caused by an intoxicated 33 year old conductor who was travelling at approximately 65 mph around a deadly curve usually taken at about 20 mph.
