okay, but this song is either about a best friend...or maybe about Jesus? not sure...
according to Jason Dunn, “So many people are struggling today. Most of all they need a friend, and we believe everyone has a friend in Christ.” so the song is about how we are all longing for something in our lives and the only thing that can fill that void is a relationship with Jesus Christ.

yeah and to add to the meaning jason even makes a reference to the band in the lyrics "I'm not the only one who feels like this, i've got a few others around me" the actual first line is "I'm just a simple man"

But yeah, it makes a lot of sense to relate it to Jesus.
However, I am 99.99% sure the first line is NOT "I'm just a simple man"

Wow, um, yeah, i love this song. geez. Hawk Nelson just happens to be my favorite band. I've seen them in concert 3 times. I really enjoy them. lol. And yes, they're my friend.
