Drug Dealer Lyrics
If you found something so unnecessary
Get down there’s no one else to blame
I need something stronger something extra strength
Have millions of materials to trade
If you came around enough
You'd be like a god to us
Like a drug dealer
Our souls out of trust
You threw it away
You'd be like a god to us
Like a fool's healer
Like a tarot card reader
Watch you throw it all away
I use to lie
And everyone I know
Seems to hate themself
But I do it as well
We need something stronger something extra strength
Half millions of recordings that are fake
If you could offer only love
You'd be like a god to us
Like a drug dealer
Our souls out of trust
You threw it away
You'd be like a god to us
Like a fool's healer
Like a tarot card reader
Never gets right
If you throw it all away
Get down there’s no one else to blame
Have millions of materials to trade
If you came around enough
Like a drug dealer
Our souls out of trust
You threw it away
Like a fool's healer
Like a tarot card reader
Watch you throw it all away
And everyone I know
Seems to hate themself
But I do it as well
Half millions of recordings that are fake
Like a drug dealer
Our souls out of trust
You threw it away
Like a fool's healer
Like a tarot card reader
Never gets right
If you throw it all away

um the lyrics are actually
If you allow something so unnecessary get you down there's no else to blame I need something stronger something extra strength I've millions of materials to trade If you came around enough
You'd be like a god to us like a drug dealer all sold out of trust you threw it all away
I USED TO MIND THAT EVERYONE I KNOW SEEMS TO HATE THEMSELVES (in some videos he says wants to kill themselves) BUT I DO IT AS WELL WE NEED SOMETHING STRONGER SOMETHING EXTRA STRENGTH I'VE MILLIONS OF RECORDINGS THAT I'VE FAKED. if you could only offer love (in the song he says if you came around enough)
you'd be like a god to us like a drug dealer all sold out of trust but you threw it all away like a fool's healer or a tarot card reader but you threw it all away
and I got it off the cd's lyric book
The song starts off "If you allow something so unnecessary to get you down there's no one else to blame"
Here's a good video of him playing it: http://www.spin.com/videos/sxsw-08-anthony-green-drug-dealer
Not one comment about what the song actually means.. I'll start at least the attempt.
It's about salads
hhahahahaa this song had like the funniest smart ass comments by far. the songs about salads and idiots were by far my fav.
this song is probably legitimatley about a drug dealer
just like stonehearted man is metephorical i think that this song is too, but i think its only half// cuz overall im sure he really does have a drug dealer in real life, but they provide him with alot more than drugs.
it's "if you came around enough" and "our souls out of trust"
"have millions of meterials to trade"
good shit man, updated!
"But I do it as well"
I think it's "And everyone I know" ...because it sounds weird "I use to lie at everyone I know" ?? It would be like I use to like to everyone I know, you cant lie "at" people, it is unclear in the song whether it is at or and, but i'll guess it is and because it makes more sense with the next line too.
"I use to lie and everyone i know, seems to hate themself"
first of all, does anyone know where you could get a good quality version of the song? I don't know that there is but.... oh and also does anyone know where i could find the chords for the song?
