Heather Remind Me How This Ends Lyrics
Heather, I'm on a plane that I pray won't get off the ground
It's a perfectly clear day, but I've got storm clouds in my mind
So foolish, why I do this, why I'd do it all again
Heather, remind me how this ends
Give me a few days and I'll be feeling fine
I can't stop moving, I move backwards in time
To where I left you, it was so good, we both pretend
Heather, remind me how this ends
When I call you up, check the timbre of your voice
Don't let it drop when you hear your little boy
Send money every Friday, on that you can depend
Heather, remind me how this ends
Heather, remind me how this ends
Heather, remind me how this ends
It's a perfectly clear day, but I've got storm clouds in my mind
So foolish, why I do this, why I'd do it all again
Heather, remind me how this ends
I can't stop moving, I move backwards in time
To where I left you, it was so good, we both pretend
Heather, remind me how this ends
Don't let it drop when you hear your little boy
Send money every Friday, on that you can depend
Heather, remind me how this ends
Heather, remind me how this ends
Heather, remind me how this ends

This song was written from the perspective of fellow musician Damien Jurado about how much he disliked touring and being away from his family. Heather in the song was Jurado's then wife. The two had one son ("your little boy"). They divorced several years after this song was released. Dolorean toured with Jurado and owe a lot of their success to the exposure they received on those tours.
