Cologne Cerrone Houdini Lyrics
Moments of perfection
Idle in the sunshine
Over there in yonder
In another world
I'm not your kind
I'm not your girl
Dreams we had seen bright
And passed the time
Cologne cerrone, cerrone Houdini
Cerrone Houdini
Cologne cerrone, cerrone Houdini
Cerrone Houdini
Sunlight in your eyes
Driving over stateside
Left the smoke behind us
Could we be together
In another world
I'm not your kind
I'm not your girl
See I'm in your car
But not your life
Cologne cerrone, cerrone Houdini
Cerrone Houdini
Cologne cerrone, cerrone Houdini
Cerrone Houdini
[x2]
Sunlight in your eyes
Sunlight in our eyes
Like diamonds in your hair
Idle in the sunshine
In another world
I'm not your girl
Dreams we had seen bright
And passed the time
Cerrone Houdini
Cologne cerrone, cerrone Houdini
Cerrone Houdini
Left the smoke behind us
In another world
I'm not your girl
See I'm in your car
But not your life
Cerrone Houdini
Cologne cerrone, cerrone Houdini
Cerrone Houdini
Sunlight in your eyes
Sunlight in our eyes
Like diamonds in your hair

I'm loving this song right now. Very perfect for what I'm currently living.
This song is about the sweetness of stolen moments with someone you ultimately know you can't have.
The standout track “Cologne Cerrone Houdini” features a wonderful Shirley Bassey quality. It's interesting to note that this track marks yet another reference to French disco legend Cerrone (Supernature is also the name of a classic Cerrone album), but Goldfrapp's explanation of the title is more of a random coincidence than another tribute. “We were jamming, and the word ‘Cerrone’ just came out of my mouth,” she says. “Subconsciously, maybe I was thinking of Cerrone, but it wasn't something in the front and center of my mind. The ‘Houdini’ part came because I was reading a book about him and the whole idea of escapism. I used this as a metaphoric idea about an ex-boyfriend who tried to escape from as many situations as possible.” --http://remixmag.com/artists/electronic/remix_countryside_manner/
This song is talking about the "pastel" side of the person we are crushing or in love with. We appreciate them and love having them around, but we know in the end they're just not the one for us. Very sexeh.
I feel like a mermaid when i listen to this song. =) =)
This reminds me of the few moments i've screwed up with the girl i like but it feels like even though i want to be closer it seems like im giving the impression that i dont care about her. and it gives me the feeling of wanting someone i can never have because im not good enough for her
I frequently wonder who transcribed the Seventh Tree lyrics and if they were actually deaf. A pastel time = And passed the time
But out of all the transcribed lyrics this is the one that makes me lose the least faith in humanity. Well done.
She's singing with a German accent, at least that's what I'm hearing. Sounds a bit like Marlene Dietrich to me. It would make sense because of the German city Cologne being mentioned in the lyrics and the title. What do you think?
No that's not it. In the interview diphthong mentioned she also says her ex would leave his scent of cologne behind or at least in the story.

The lyric: "Over there in Honda, In another world" is rather, "Over bearing hunter, In another world"
This song is about a secret, passionate affair that will never be more.
