I Owe You One Lyrics
What you've done for me
Is more than I can say
Cause I don't know the words
To thank you properly
You pulled me from the grave
And stood me on a hill
And when I was afraid
You made me still
For the love you bring, owe you everything
For the breath you give, You're my cause to live
For everything under the sun, I owe you one
Chaos all around
Explosions and fire
You took me off the ground
And lifted me higher
When trouble knew my name
That was before you
I'll never be the same
Now that I know you
Is more than I can say
Cause I don't know the words
To thank you properly
And stood me on a hill
And when I was afraid
You made me still
For the breath you give, You're my cause to live
For everything under the sun, I owe you one
Explosions and fire
You took me off the ground
And lifted me higher
That was before you
I'll never be the same
Now that I know you

wow, this song is so catchy. i think it's about someone always being in trouble, until they meet someone really special. and that person changed that someones life, and theyre life will never be the same and for that, the other person is thankful and "owes them one" because they made their life amazing and they wouldn't change that for the world.
AKA Christ.
AKA Christ.
Amazing song.. but some of these lyrics are wrong :) so here are the proper ones found on Lights' myspace blog.

I agree with dolledupwords, meeting someone who kind of made you live again "You pulled me from the grave" and shes thanking the person and saying i owe you one because you saved me from trouble and my life wont ever be the same because of you (:
I actually asked Lights what this was about because it sounded like she was referring to God. And I was right! She said since she's a Christian this song was just trying to pay tribute to everything he's given her. (For everything under the sun, I owe you one!)
the first line sounds like what you've given me.. ?
It's definitely "What you've given me".
This song is really cute. Lights lyrics are so inspirational. I can't wait for her to make it big.
Definitely a song about God.
"You pulled me from the grave" is an obvious reference to resurrection.
"For everything under the sun, I owe you one" is obviously referring to the created order and everything that encompasses our world.
A very inspiring and moving song indeed!
"You pulled me from the grave" like others said is about God. This song is a praise song to Him. As Christians we are pulled from the grave by the power of Christ's sacrifice and will never taste the power of death. Before trusting in Christ's sacrifice we are all spiritually dead, but after we accept His death as what we deceive, then we are set free and have eternal life.
"For the love you bring, owe you everything For the breath you give, You're my cause to live"
I'm with everyone else probably about the man upsatirs. But it could also be about who he has given her. He gave her someone who saved her from her delinquentcy or something, and when she was in trouble they always were there to help her out.
