Sunsets Are for Muggings Lyrics
This is for the kids who ain't got no soul
Never think twice
Got nowhere to go
This is for the pills that never fucking work
But it’s hard to see blood on a black t-shirt
They'll never understand
Because they were understood
An ‘open minded’ fake
In a bright white coat
Tell me what you wanna know
About my bleeding fucking heart
I'll pass all your tests
Because I’ve learned to lie from the best
Life is a fight, life is a fight
Life is a fight, life is a fight, fight, fight
They never really listen
Because they never fucking cared
The way I feel inside
They could never fucking hear
All they wanna know about is your insurance card
This pain I’ve kept inside
Just made me fucking strong
Life is a fight, life is a fight
Life is a fight, life is a fight, fight, fight
This is for the kids who ain't got no soul
Never think twice
Got nowhere to go
This is for the pills that never fucking work
But it’s hard to see blood on a black t-shirt
Life is a fight, life is a fight
Life is a fight, life is a fight, fight, fight
I never found a place I felt I fit
I never met someone who gave a shit
But I believe in what we fucking got
And now we got our chance to set it off
I never found a place I felt I fit
I never met someone who gave a shit
Let’s take a stand against felling lost
This is our chance to set it off
I never found a place I felt I fit
I never met someone who gave a shit
But I believe in what we fucking got
And now we got our chance to set it off
You'll never take me alive
‘Cause we're already dead
You'll never take me alive
‘Cause we're already dead
You’ll never take me alive
‘Cause we’re already dead
You’ll never take me alive
‘Cause we’re already dead inside
Never think twice
Got nowhere to go

frank said in an interview this song is about visits to his therapist, struggles with mental illness, and how you take a shitton of pills to feel 'normal' but they don't help. so you just kinda fight it off.
that said, this is possibly my favorite lm song so far.
i also read that interveiw with frank and the meaning fits with the lyrics.
my favourite song off the album but it's really hard to pick one. the album was worth the wait!
This is the first song I heard from leATHERMOUTH and I was amazed. I didn't even know it was Frank Iero's band until about 6 months ago.
I think the title of the song is about what this guy feels about the world - what is to most people a really nice, beautiful thing is actually ugly and bad.
