This song is about depression, and comparing it to Fairytale characters. The girls are sad and lonely because their husbands/boyfriends/etc. aren't paying attention to them. It shows that even fairy tales have their flaws. No one has a perfect life. There are people now that thought they would have a wonderful relationship, but are just left out and taken advantage of.
