Tan pronto yo te vi
No pude descubrir
El amor a primera vista no funciona en mí
Después de amarte comprendí
Que no estaría tan mal
Robar tu otra mitad
No me importó si arruinaríamos nuestra amistad

(CORO)
Solo tú, no necesito más
Te adoraría lo que dura la eternidad
Debes ser perfecta para
Perfecto para
Perfecta para mi, mi amor
Como fue que de papel cambié
Eres mi amiga y ahora eres mi mujer
Debes ser perfectamente
Exactamente

(CORO)
Solo tú, no necesito más
Te adoraría lo que dura la eternidad
Debes ser perfecta para
Perfecto para
Perfecta para mi, mi amor
Como fue que de papel cambié
Eres mi amiga y ahora eres mi mujer
Debes ser perfectamente
Exactamente
Lo que yo siempre soñé (x3)

I love this song, I think it is about when you re-discover someone that you have knownn from a long time as your friendship, and you sudenly realized you love that person and you take a chance and that person is perfect for you...

    Translation

    Perfect

As soon as I saw you I could not find Love at first sight does not work on me After I understood love I would not be so bad Steal your other half I did not care if it would ruin our friendship I did not mind because who cares

We were such good friends to this day I tried your performance in Love I took advantage of it had taken so You were leaving and I grabbed Despite knowing that it was all wrong I continue to finish together When we fell into what was happening I kept kissing

Only you do not need more I adore what eternity lasts You have to be perfect Perfect for Perfect for me, my love Since that paper was changed You're my friend and now my wife You must be perfectly Exactly What I always dreamed

His time It turned out even better We knew each other from before and knew We wanted the two

Then love We have to reverse I'll be your eternal love, I assure you Every night I will love you

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
