A Kiss from Mars Lyrics
Will they ever come back, dear?
Oh I don't know, dear, oh I don't know
But will we see them in Heaven?
Oh I don't know, dear, oh I don't know
A kiss from a burning star and we're gone
And this story we'll never pass on
We really come from Mars, I wasn't joking
Oooh
About that device you saw?
It lifts us up when we play its tones
And we both made it alive
With guns that melt anything in sight
We're really not alone, we have each other
Oooh
We really come from Mars, I wasn't joking
Oooh
We tried to tell them so, they wouldn't listen
Oooh
We are travelers who left the world in the night
And we're home now
We are scavengers who love you all from the sky
But we're gone now
Oh I don't know, dear, oh I don't know
But will we see them in Heaven?
Oh I don't know, dear, oh I don't know
A kiss from a burning star and we're gone
And this story we'll never pass on
Oooh
It lifts us up when we play its tones
And we both made it alive
With guns that melt anything in sight
Oooh
Oooh
We tried to tell them so, they wouldn't listen
Oooh
And we're home now
We are scavengers who love you all from the sky
But we're gone now

are you sure this is by Eisley? where did you find this song??
Absentminded- this isn't so much an Eisley song as a Stacy song. I think Christie sings in it too... This is one of the demos that were stolen off of Stacy's computer or something like that.
As for the song itself, well, it tells a story, but I'm not entirely sure of the meaning behind it. I get a vibe of trust and mistrust when I listen to it, but it doesn't get past that. xD
actually it's a song that belongs to the trailvan hide collection, which is a leaked compilation of little ditties the sisters did for family members and friends and such.
this song is one of the newest, as far as i'm aware, and i'm glad someone was finally able to decipher some of these beautiful lyrics. this one kind of reminds me of the escaping song and invasion, in that it's a little mysterious and science fiction-y, but while the escaping song and invasion were based off old sci-fi novels (and the songs make a lot more sense if you're ever able to read them, espcially TES), i haven't the slightest what this could be based off of. perhaps it's just stacy's wild imagination at work again. hmmm... :)
