Doesn't take a genius to figure out the content and meaning of this song. Obviously when two people are seperated they miss each other... or at least the feeling they had when near each othet
i also heard this song first time in SO U THINK YOU CAN DANCE, since than am in love with this song, it reflects the true feelings of people who are separated and now remind of the good time they had together. and seek the same time and memories
A relationship that seemed pretty meaningless for both of them... But now they are apart, they understand how much they miss and need each other... Years have passed but neither of them managed to find someone else to love so much... Back then they wanted more, but now all they desire is their first, teenage crush/love...:'-)
I heard this song on The Saboteur, and well... Fell in love with it. But well, yeah, the meaning is pretty easy to find, just the sadness that comes when you miss another person and the things you do... The video for this song is pretty depressing.
The meaning is pretty clear, but together with the official video this song tells a concrete story... I think the heroine is a prostitute reminiscing about her past with a certain guy. She then has a dream. The men that constantly appear in the video and the dream are all the fake men she has to work with, and the normal-looking guy that comes to her in the forest is the one she misses or wants to be with... Basically that's my interpretation.

So they're looking for that one unique love & person? But then go on to say that anyone with a close resemblance will do?! ;-)
I haven't seen the video and the lyrics seem like throwaways but do add to the campy tone of this obviously retro song, a la Kat Edmonson.
However, I absolutely LOVE the languid jazzy treatment with the clarinet, trombone, and drum whisks blending so smoothly. The mix is superb. Bravo.
