this isnt just any war though, its about WWI because over the top was used to describe when the soldiers would climb onto the battle field and it was killing time, and their only way out (because they were drafted) was to die.
the song is about World War One, the battle of the Somme. 'Over the top' is referring to going up and over the trenches to battle. It is described so brutefully because the battle of the Somme was the bloodiest battle in the whole of WWI.

I'm loving the new sound, definitely sounds a lot more metal than poison. I can only hope the rest of the album is like this.
i used to love bullet and for about the first 20 seconds i was dissapointed but then i realised its a fuking awsome song and i think its about pointless deaths cause by war.
"scream aim fire" is definitely heavier than "the poison", i'll say that.
