Fïnal Day Lyrics

And now we're here again
Up on your roof so high
The whole world can just go to hell
For all I care tonight
I can feel the end is near
It all has come as we had feared

And if our final day has come
Let's pretend to carry on
And if the end has now begun
Live on
Live on

I just can't believe the day has come
When all the clocks stand still
The horizon seems to disappear
And all our dreams are unfullfilled
I can feel the end is near
It all has come as we had feared

And if our final day has come
Let's pretend to carry on
And if the end has now begun
Live on
Live on

This is our final day
This is our final day
This is the final thunder
Up on your roof so high
Let's stay and wait for the morning
Even if it's not in sight

Has our ending just begun?
Don't care, pretend to carry on

And if our final day has come
Let's pretend to carry on
And if the end has now begun
Live on
Live on

And if our final day has come
Let's pretend to carry on
And if we stay we'll always
Live on
Live on

This is the final thunder
Up on your roof so high
Let's stay and wait for the morning
Live on
Live on
This is our final day

This song was wrote about dying. Yes, dying. Bill always said that if he were to die, he didn't want to know when. He didn't want to know the date. That's why in the song he says not to tell him if the end is near, just live on, like nothing's going to happen. He wants to live in the moment, and keep on enjoying life, not knowing when the end will come.

This song is confusing. At first I thought it was about the apocalypse or something, but then it seemed more like a breakup song. But I think I read somewhere that it's about Bill's fear of dying.

As it mentions two people throughout the song, I believe its about someone in a relationship that's falling apart. The writer wants to deny it with all his might, believing if he does, he can salvage it, but he knows inwardly that it can't be saved. Its not clear about the second person's oppinion in the song, but the line "the whole world can just go to hell" makes it clear to me that the writer doesn't care what he/she thinks. All he knows is his world is falling apart, and he wants to deny it.

I think it's about a group of people's last day together before they have to go their separate ways. It kind of reminds me of people going off to college--they're all getting separated right at their lives are really beginning. Maybe he wrote it in memory of when he had to move... I could go way more in-depth analysis on you, but that's what I think.

My Interpretation

Also, it never specifically says TWO people. It says "we." That could mean anything.

@ilovespikyhair I think he means his band or smth
