Dub the Frequencies of Love Lyrics
Give me a vision when I got none
And thunderbolts in each hand of my own
For I'm coming back to level
Everything they taught us wrong
With a crave for for panacea
World is crawling on all fours
In a search of a new prayer
Gods are throwing thunderbolts
So dub it like toyarisch would
Dub it like a best friend could
Dub it like a brother would
Onto transmigration!
I need leads how to keep going
On the trail of ultimate
From the streets to the subconscious
From subconscious to the God
Master tell me how come everything they taught us
Always seems to be so goddamn wrong?
In the meantime, music from the tiny island
Takes over the world
Frequencies of love
Gather round, oh come on
Frequencies of love
Overcome, overthrow!
So dub it like tovarisch could
Say it like a brother would
Hold me like a mother would
Onto transmigration
And thunderbolts in each hand of my own
For I'm coming back to level
Everything they taught us wrong
World is crawling on all fours
In a search of a new prayer
Gods are throwing thunderbolts
Dub it like a best friend could
Dub it like a brother would
Onto transmigration!
On the trail of ultimate
From the streets to the subconscious
From subconscious to the God
Always seems to be so goddamn wrong?
In the meantime, music from the tiny island
Takes over the world
Gather round, oh come on
Frequencies of love
Overcome, overthrow!
Say it like a brother would
Hold me like a mother would
Onto transmigration

First, since the word "tovarisch" confused me, I'll put it out there that it's supposedly an old USSR term for "comrade." This seems believable, as I'm sure Eugene's at least heard it in his childhood if not much more recently than that. This is a vague song, really, but I always look at GB's lyrics as being deeper than they seem. Eugene tends to take on Whitmanian themes and I think this song kind of says that religion divides people too much when so many of the major ones preach love and tolerance. It's a great theme if that's what he's getting at here and c'mon, the song is just so damn catchy and intense in a way that isn't like most other GB songs. Great stuff!
I wonder how foreign people can understand everything in Eugene's songs. It's kind of....respect :)
