The meaning is obvious.

Chasing the white rabbit is also commonly known as injecting Heroin. The song is just about fighting and sucumbing to addiction. The first stanza basically shit talks pill poppers and talks about real risk taking being in Heroin.

This song is great. Dick's falsetto is chilling. The line "dance on the edge of my knife" is so nice.
