im pretty sure this is about taylor. but it can easily be about any relationship or friendship. i think it is so beautiful and amazing. i think its about stuggles of long distance relationships. he is totally in love with her and all he wants is to be with her.
my only confusion is the fourth stanza at the end when he ways "how did things dramatically change? wish things would've just stayed the same."
is he not wanting all his glory of being who he is and wants to stay with her and only be with her?
maybe there was an event that he doesnt want his audience to really know about, only her. either way. it is an amazing song. i wonder why no one else has commented it. its so lovely!

I think this song is about how he went through a breakup with a girl (i guess someone named Taylor?) because one of them moved away and now it's really bothering him and he wishes that he could just go back to how things used to be.
