Tears Of An Angel Lyrics
Cover my eyes
Cover my ears
Tell me these words are a lie
It can't be true
That I'm losing you
The sun cannot fall from the sky
Can you hear heaven cry
Tears of an angel
Tears of an angel
Tears of an angel
Tears of an angel.
Stop every clock
Stars are in shock
The river will flow to the sea
I wont let you fly
I wont say goodbye
I wont let you slip away from me
Can you hear heaven cry
Tears of an angel
Tears of an angel
Tears of an angel
Tears of an angel.
So hold on
Be strong
Every day hope will grow
I'm here, don't you fear
Little one don't let go oh oh oh
Don't let go oh oh oh
Don't let go oh oh oh
Cover my eyes
Cover my ears
Tell me these words are a lie

The sun cannot fall from the sky

For anyone wondering, they wrote this song about their 4 year old niece who died from a brain tumor while they were recording the album.
Love this song, very sad.
Yeah it's about losing someone..
saddest song i've ever heard actually :( and one of the most beautiful
Definately about losing someone, and perhaps going into denial about it.
This is one of my favourite songs and one of the only ones to make me properly cry! The lyrics are just amazing.
Okay I didnt get this song at first and it confused me... can you explain how its about loosing someone? :) xxx

Potentially triggering
Whenever I feel like giving up in my battle with severe depression, I hear my mom singing this to me in my head. "Everyday hope will grow" and "I'm here, don't you fear little one, don't let go" really resonate with me and play in my head on a loop, and remind me that the last thing I want to is hurt my mom with my selfish decisions. She's my life, and the last thing I want for her is to be eternally distraught.
Suicide does not end the pain, it passes it on to someone else.
