Ankle Injuries Lyrics
Fujiya, Miyagi x26
As I pretty
As of the band
Lowercase letter S
Spray painted red
It's spray painted red
Yeah, your little arms
Swing on monkey bars
In search of your plot
Like pixelated scraps of jazz mags in your head
Lights
Like pixelated scraps of jazz mags in your head
Lights, a career
Littered with ankle injuries
In the mid to late 1980s
As you're pretty
As of the band
Lowercase letter S
Like pixelated scraps of jazz mags in your head
Lights
Like pixelated scraps of jazz mags in your head
Watching
Unleashing begins
Next to zen, road crossings
My ancient old legs stick to leather and
Seed coverings
Watching
Unleashing begins
Through transparent things
Like pixelated scraps of jazz mags in your head
Lights
Like pixelated scraps of jazz mags in your head
Lights
Fujiya, Miyagi x34

It's also 'Zebra Crossings', not 'Zap Road Crossings' or anything else. This also means that 'unleashing begins' becomes 'Belisha beacons', which are the names of the lollipop things that are on the front cover of the album and stand on the edge of zebra crossings. So
'Watching Belisha beacons Next to zebra crossings My ancient old legs stick to leatherette seat coverings Watching Belisha beacons Through transparent things Like pixellated scraps of jazz mags in your head Lights'

I do not know what this song means. But it's really good.
Those lyrics are a little bit wrong, though i cant blame anyone for getting them wrong:

It may well be that im wrong about the chess mat bit, but having watched the video and listened over and over again, i believe its the layering of the several vocals that produces that "x" sound...also what the hell is jazz maxx?
haha, i have no idea what a jazz max is. i figured with fujiya & miyagi it didn't really matter!
i think the lyrics is this way:
Fujiya, Miyagi x26
As a pretty As of the bed Lowercase letter S Spray painted red It's spray painted red Yeah, your little arms Swing on monkey bars In such other plots Like pixelated scraps of chess mags in your head Lights

HA! For the longest time I thought they were singing "like pixelated Chex Mix in your head". Gave me the munchies!
It sounds like "pixelated scraps of jazz mags..." to me. "Jazz mag" being a euphemism for porno mag.
Bardfly is correct. 'jazz mag' is British slang for a pornographic magazine. The song is a cryptic story about finding a porno mag as a school kid
This guy is absolutely correct. http://www.tirk-recordings.com/tirk017.php I was hoping for something different, got all up in arms over nothing. In defending this song I found on YouTube once, I have made an ass of myself. Go me.

Anyway, this is kind of disappointing and discouraging. Does anyone know any really interesting songs by this band? Can't judge a book by its cover, but my assumptions lead me to believe that the first chapter is usually pretty good indication.

this song makes time pass by pretty easily, which is why i like it
Why do they say the name of the band so many times at the beginning of the song? It's not connected to the rest of the lyrics. Are they just trying to make sure we know how to pronounce it? Do they introduce all their songs by saying their band name again and again? Can you imagine a Radiohead song staring out with them saying "Radiohead, Radiohead, Radiohead..." again and again?
