This song is amazing! I love it, it's by far one of my favourite songs by Taylor Swift.

It is really simple to understand the meaning to this song. It's about having this "one" person who you can be yourself with. You are able to be crazy and goofy with them. You are able to tell them anything in the world. In the song specifically, Taylor talks about a boy being that person, however it's clear that the person can be your best friend, family member, etc. If you watch the video it's pretty self explanatory and really funny. It's full of home videos of Taylor's, you see her with family and friends - also her, another girl, and Kellie Picker do the Soulja Boy dance!

Why is this song about a platonic friend? It sounds like love, which would mean they are best friends, but not in a platonic way. Most friends are not going to be lying on the ground in the dark behind a house as they look up at the moon. And most would not say that they don't wish to live without the other. Very few platonic friendships are THAT close. The song, to me, sounds as though it's about lovers who are actually in love with each other, so the best friend part is a given:)

I adore this song :) to me, it's about a girl and her best friend, he loves her for who she is, and they can't imagine life without each other. It totally reminds me of my best friend; no matter what he's always there even when I act like a total loser Adorable song, pretty much everyone can realte to it :)
