Silhouette of a Dancer Lyrics

My skin still burns
At all the places you've touched
So aware
You leave no place for hiding
Not last night
Not this time

(Chorus)
I close my eyes, so the world can't see me
And draw the silhouette of a dancer in my head
I can't look through your eyes
But my mind betrays mine
Should I starve unmarked?
Or confess to my blindness

My eyes still hurt
Fighting chasing lights
As they form
Silhouettes behind me
Let them go
This time

Waiting for a change
I can't fight these chains
Every day,
I bleed to avoid the pain
Every day
I fade a little more

(Chorus)

I'm not really sure what it's about, but my interpretation is that you do something wrong, and everyone knows what you've done, and you're embarrassed by it. So you try to fade away ('And draw the silhouette of a dancer in my head') but it doesn't work.

I think the song is about a person, who is dead. During the whole song the lyrical character is wondering whether or not being with his true love. In the chorus the main character (it can be both man or woman, since its a duet song between Charlotte and Otto) explains that he/she is going through a huge pain and suffering every single day and only when he/she closes her/his eyes, the silhouette of the dancer appears and they get rid of the pain. In the end, the grand finale of the song give us the final clue we need, that the main character actually attempts the suicide and go to his/her loved one in the other life.
