eh.. im not sure, but this is my guess from first glance:
"Waiting for the one I love I've been forgetting you "
she just broke up with somebody, because he turned out to be "the wrong one".
"If anyone should ask me I'll tell them I don't know I've been leaving all my clues like my footprints in the snow"
she can't believe she's so torn up about it and wants comfort, but she's not going to openly admit it... she just wants somebody to pick up on her subtle cues.

idk. its my weak guess. but i LOVE this song. im prolly relating it to that because thats how i feel. haha. but i guess music is supposed to be interpreted into something you can hold on to. make something so personal to them personal to YOU. :]
