The song is about not having control over what the future has in store for you. You think that you've planned out everything but then when one sudden 'change' happens everything goes wrong. The 'change' that happens in this song is when your partner leaves you, you become totally messed up, your life becomes messed up and you just don't know what to do. You are searching for answers but they don't matter because nothing will be the same again. But what you know is that you have to get through it.

This song means so much to me. When it first came out A few year back I was really close mates with some people who truly meant the world to me, unfortunately we fell out over something stupid at first I thought it was just going to be one of those little arguments we all have but something dint feel right I listened to this song over and over again knowing things were never going to be the same again between us and I was right. I miss them and those early years of high school so much.
this song is about loosing someone close to you who you thought the world off and perhaps never gave it a thought that you could ever loose them. This song reminds me of my niece I lost when she was just 3 years old... unfortunately she had a bad heart :( but she meant everything to me and its weird how different my life is now she isn't in it. mad how someone so small could make such an impact on your life... beautiful song
